Inspired by the works of Italian Renaissance sculptor, Gian Lorenzo Bernini, and in particular his ability to sculpt flesh that is being seized and restrained by powerful hands, these works presented as part of the ‘Under Pressure’ series seek to evoke those innermost human emotions that resist simple definition. They are each designed to stimulate an entirely private and personal response in the viewer, one that is as individual as each of us are.
