Description
A nude sculpture of a crouching woman, her energetic pose suggesting that she is rising from the earth like a phoenix from the ashes. She gazes directly ahead with intention, perhaps considering her next move or sizing up her prey. Made from white ceramic, she is finished with a black iron oxide wash to accentuate the details and which in turn grants the work an aura of the distant past. This is a piece about rebirth, change and a woman’s emancipation. 16cm W x 23cm H x 15cm D.
